Polyura schreiber tisamenus
[Blue Nawab]
The lone caterpillar was found with the front half of the body standing upright under hot noon sunlight on the leaf of a young mango plant (Mangifera indica). Some leaves of the plant had been eaten but I was not sure whether it was the work of this caterpillar since it was not feeding when I saw it. The recorded hostplants of this caterpillar are Adenanthera pavonina (Red Saga), Chorisia speciosa (Silk Floss Tree), Nephelium lappaceum (Rambutan).
